Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How much does it cost for an estimate?
A. Nothing. We do not charge our customers for our quotation service or advice. Also there is no obligation to use our services, should a written quote be provided.
Q. Can you give me a quotation over the telephone?
A. We prefer to visit all of our customers, irrespective of the size of the job. This ensures that we are able to fully assess the work required and to provide an accurate costing for you.
Q. I am out at work all day. Do I have to provide access, in order that you can provide your quotation?
A. Not necessarily. Dependent on the nature of the work being required, we may be able to gain access, without you having to be present. However, should access be limited or you are required to be present, we will always endeavour to arrange our appointments at times which are most convenient to yourself (this includes weekend and evening appointments).
Q. Do you do Insurance work and am I covered by storm damage?
A. First and foremost, check with your insurance company. The majority of insurance companies will consider claims for storm damage to roofs, where the winds exceed 60 mph. Your insurance company may ask for more than one quotation from different contractors. Once your claim has been approved, please provide us with your Insurance Company’s details and we can liaise with them directly.
Q. How will I know what work is being done?
A. Our quotes are broken down and itemised, therefore, very simple and easy to read/understand. You can choose to have as much or as little work carried out. As with most roofing & building works, our Teams may identify additional works. However, no additional work (other than originally quoted) will be carried out without prior consultation with the customer. You will also be notified prior to commencement of the work, as to whether any scaffolding is required.
Q. How long will the work take to complete?
A. This is dependent on the type of work being requested. However, we can provide you with estimated timescales (subject to weather conditions).
Q. Do I have to pay VAT?
A. Yes. This is a requirement by law. Vat is charged at a rate of 5% for individuals and 17.5% for businesses. There are exceptions for vat exempt organisations.
Q. What type of Insurance do we have?
A. We have full Employers Liability, Public/Products Liability of a minimum of 5million pounds. Copies of our insurances are available upon request.
Q. What about customer care and after sales service?
A. We pride ourselves on our levels of customer service and after sales service. All of our employees adhere to our high customer service standards, at all times. Each of our teams is managed by either a supervisor or site manager (dependent on the size of the job). Should you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to approach any member of our team, whom will be more than willing to assist you.
All of our work comes complete with a full guarantee appropriate to the project.
Q. I have specific question/s which are not covered in your FAQ’s?
A. If we have not covered a question, in the above section, please do not hesitate to contact our office, where one of our Team will be more than happy to assist you with any query that you may have.
